The clients required a design which had a focus on biodiversity and the planting of both native and deciduous trees and shrubs to encourage birds and bees back to the property. A high-quality lawn in front of the living area and back yard was important, and an overall aim to match function with pleasing aesthetics so the client could enjoy looking at the garden from the house. A large, raised garden with edible species such as feijoas and blueberries along with raised garden beds for vegetables and herbs. A citrus grove was created with lemon, lime, and orange trees. The overall planting plan was designed to ensure some privacy while maintaining views to neighbouring wetlands & pastures.
